For employees in any industry who carry out the role of Fire Warden

The programme of training will ensure that employees who carry out the role of Fire Warden,

have an awareness and understanding of the risk from fire. Be able to carry out fire safety

checks, and assist with emergency evacuations. Course duration is 3 hours and includes a

practical demonstration of fire safety checks.

Course objectives include:

• Fire legislation

• Facts and figures

• Combustion process

• Fire risk assessments

• Emergency evacuation plans

• Fire Warden responsibilities

• Fire safety checks

• Fire extinguisher theory

Candidates are assessed at the end of

the training by the use of a multiple choice examination.

Following completion of the training programme, each candidate will receive

a certificate of training which is valid for 3 years.

Please note: the course does not provide practical training in the use of

fire extinguishers.
